Drum Roll Please...

So we've been teasing you for quite some time now about our upcoming little hiker's nursery. In yesterday's trail report, we even offered a photo that was a small spoiler of what the nursery looks like. As you know the nursery was at one time a full fledged bathroom complete with commode, bathtub, and his/her sinks. It also had a nasty carpet on the floor and beige walls. It is now a nursery fit for a little hiker girl and now we are patiently awaiting Little Ms. Dinah's arrival. If she's anything like Robin and I, she will be late, and stuck in the procrastinators workflow, where she's usually found somewhere between Find Food and Randomly Browse the Internet (with mom of course).

So the moment you've all been waiting for (other than the announcement of her birth) Robin and I proudly give you: Dinah's Nursery.

Happy Trails,
Tim and Robin

Pictures Of The Week - Yep We're Late

Oopsie, we haven't posted anything in a couple of days. We've had a really busy weekend so we haven't had a chance to get anything posted. Until we get our Trail report up here are a few photos from our little road trip Saturday to pass the time and a couple from Sunday's Hike as a teaser.

Ashby promised that if we bought her this skillet,
she'd make us pancakes. Unfortunately, we think her
spatula is a bit to small for the job.

Dogwood Arts Festival

Knoxville is renowned for its annual Dogwood Arts Festival. The festival officially kicked off last Wednesday with tons of events being scheduled throughout the month of April.

The festival showcases a number of gardens and breathtaking home landscapes by way of the Dogwood Trails and Byways. There are seven trails in all, and five byways. Each offer a spectacular botanical experience.

Yesterday, given a 70% chance for thunderstorms and Tim on call, we decided to visit the Sequoyah Hills trail: one of Knoxville's most prestigious neighborhoods. The houses there are gorgeous, each it's own, and most of them have awe-inspiring gardens.

The trail offers numerous places to stop (if by car or bike) and take photos, but I couldn't help snapping every time something caught my eye.

The last part of this trail parallels the shore of Fort Loudon Lake, and offers plenty of entrances to the waterfront park. Clover really enjoyed getting out to sniff where every other dog had been while we enjoyed the sunset on the water.

Hip-Hip-Hooray For Sunny Days!

Finally, a beautiful day to behold! Here's just a few things we spotted while out and about yesterday. Today is earmarked for Ashby's Spring portraits. Cross your fingers that it goes well!

Photos of the Week

Spent most of the week indoors out of the rain and chilly air.
It's supposed to be pretty over the weekend, so hopefully we'll have some outdoor photos soon!

In the meantime, meet the babies of the Birdtown Zoo:

Sassafras Tea - aka "Shamu"
Favorite pastime is holding down the couch, will do anything for chicken, pretty sure Col. Sanders was reincarnated as this fat, black cat.

Noony Buckets - aka "El Noon-yo's"
Known for his continuous whining, enters and exits through open windows, tweaks at every noise, blamed for ominous weather conditions.

Liberty - aka "Bulldog Ibby"
Crotchety, old cat, steals my computer chair every time I get up, beats up on anything that gets near her. Clover's favorite cat to chase.

Shadow - aka "Satan Incarnate"
Will be the death of me. Period.

Merri - aka "The Toilet Guardian"
Accused of being the cat that doesn't exist. (Proof above, Daddy!) Scared of everything. Loves Ashby the most. First picture I've been able to get of her in almost a year.

Clover Beene - aka "Big Baby Tchoverbeene"
Our best friend.

Q - aka "Ms. Coo E. Pants"
The sweetest hammy in the whole - wide - world.
